Straight off the Beach
There’s fun right on the doorstep of Scarborough Beach for Aussies 08 participants. You can head to the Rendezvous Hotel, Stamford Arms or White Sands Hotel across from Scarborough Beach, or take a short drive to the Southern Hemisphere’s largest pub – The Saint – just minutes away.
Stamford Arms
This English pub is popular with locals and visitors and is ideally located on the Esplanade across from Scarborough Beach. There’s a great selection of tap beers and plenty of entertainment on the big screens. Open daily 11am till late.
Ocean Room (Red Bull Bar)
Located on the Plaza level within the premises of the Rendezvous Hotel, enter from the overpass at the beach on top of the Maureen Grieson Centre, or the hotel’s western entrance (beach) up the escalators. This ultra-classy bar is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday during Aussies 08 from the special time of 3pm until late
White Sands Hotel
This laid back pub is renowned for its live music, with Friday nights a specialty, and management has introduced several special offers for Aussies 08 only. There’s live entertainment from Wednesday through to mad Monday, $10 jugs from 4pm to 8pm each night of the Aussies, daily giveaways and prizes, drink specials and promotions on all
ranges of drinks, plus free entry and a free sausage sizzle each weekday. Enjoy it all in the huge new beer garden built for Aussies 08.
